I’ve finally got myself back out to my shed too, also building a bass. Since we’ve had the heating installed I’m more reluctant to go out to the shed in crap weather lol

@somethingnicer I think that’ll just be for the fatter end part, the main part of the rod will be a 1/4 inch. Personally I use a 1/4 inch for the full length including acces then I go over the thicker… Read more»

@rathius I do all the fretwork etc first before gluing a neck in or attching wings with a neck through, so much easier lol. As for recessing, just sort your neck angle to suit whatever option you’re going for, above… Read more»

@brie ours is an ancient old stone cottage too, the biggest thing to cost is insulation. An air source pump can heat any building but the better the insulation the more efficient it is.
