Looks like a TOP Job there - I can tell from the pics that you remembered to scrape the gluing surfaces to remove the sanding scratches...

Sounds like the truss rod is loose - that will allow it to rattle - try just nipping it up till it goes tight - adding just enough tension to stop it ...
