@tv101 She’s just told me that she’s tried the veggie haggis and doesn’t like it.  When she was a meat eater (a long time ago) she did like proper haggis. 

Something tells me that you don’t enjoy a haggis TV? 🤣

I quite like the look of the dark red and gold, and honestly wouldn't have known there is anything wrong with it. Not until I saw the photo where you wiped back down to purple, I can see now its not what you wanted. I hope you enjoyed your haggis, neeps and tatties. You had me searching for a haggis emoji earlier today, apparently there's a campaign to include one.

@boo My daughter was sitting beside me while I was scrolling down looking at the paint job. She kept saying... ohhhh.... pretty. 🙂 Oh.. and she loves the purple. At the end she said... well... I really like the silver too. 🙂

I stepped away from it and made Haggis, neeps and tattles for my tea, with a wee dram afterwards. 🥃

Roll on Burns night on Tuesday.

The Burns Supper that I usually go to has been postponed until March this year. The last one I went to, I was stone cold sober, it was a whole new experience (not the being sober bit, I've done that before).

Right, I’ve pulled my finger out and remasked this guitar body, ready for more paint. I’ll get purple candy on it tomorrow, unmask it and seal it in with a few coats of clear. When it’s dry, I’ll sand it flat, mask off the purple areas and spray the remaining silver bits GOLD ✨✨✨✨

Lets hope it goes well this time. This project has been reimagined almost as many times as partygate excuses/lies. 🤨 

I altered the masking on the front (top) slightly and got some purple on. Slowly building up the layers of candy purple. 

Second coat. 

Time for the third coat and to pull the masking. Nice clean, sharp edges to the paint. 

Time for some clear coat.

@russ Oh good, I’m glad you said that. Lava lamp is what I was going for, it’s that ‘60s and ‘70s look I’m after. A Jimi tribute, even though he never had a paint job like this on a guitar, that I know of.
