PS - how does this blinking quote tool work?

Use the mouse (left click and drag the cursor) to highlight the text you want to quote.  As you do that, a quotation mark symbol appears.

When you've highlighted the text that you want to quote, click the quotation mark symbol and the text appears in the "leave a reply" box, ready for you to reply to.

🙂

And - no @rockpile99 - I wasn't being sarcastic - I'd genuinely never considered making a sacrificial neck blank!!

@rockpile99 I laminated poplar for a neck from a futon couch/bed frame. Pretty solid. Watch out for the knots in pine. They tend to fall out when tou hit it with the rasp.

I have just made, for practice, a bolt on Tele neck out of a nasty bit of pine. I even Routed the truss rod channel, then cut a 8mm slice off another piece of nasty pine and made a fret board, radiused it and glued them together as I will for real. Once the glue had dried I carved and shaped and made a good first attempt at a neck, I’m pleased with and it proves the theories etc.

Give up the news folks, it’s liberating!
