Mmm - this is getting a bit stalky mind Darren!
Sorry Michael, I didn't mean to spook you! My wife is from Consett but you've got 10 years on her. Born the day Kennedy got assassinated although I'm pretty sure the two events weren't linked! Her Dad used to drive around in a soft top Mustang and there can't have been many of them in Consett at the time!
Good luck with your repairs and refurb's, you've got access to a great resource in this forum, I'm sure you'll find it very useful and supportive.
Cheers
Darren
No worries Darren; thanks for the explanation.
I lived in Lanchester till I went to Poly (remember Polytechnics?) so I don't remember the Consett Mustang sorry - I do remember the day JFK died though; the day not the date - chronology is not really my forte.
Thanks for the welcome and your encouragement.
Cheers
Michael
Happy New Year folks! I finished this job with the Eko Ranger in October but didn't get round to posting a picture yet.
If you want the full story and more images, I've made a 'storyboard' picture 'video' that I've just posted on YouTube that you might like to watch.
(Warning - get yourself comfy though - it's 20 minutes long!)
Here's a link:-
Thanks for your encouragement along the way - I'll be doing more this year I'm sure.
All the best,
Michael
Wow - I just watched the 20min video. What a huge amount of time and effort - and skills - you've put into that rebuild.
Don't think I've seen someone disassemble, and then rework, an acoustic in that way before.
You must have been relieved that it sounded as good as you'd hoped after all that work! Big congratulations.
