Hi Russ,
Watch this space - I'll post some pictures under a new forum header later today.
That looks like it might be adjustable @darrenking?

I've got a nice Stew Mac neck template in clear Perspex with marks for centre line etc but my neck master templates (CNC'd 60's Strat) that I got from Ebay when I first started don't exactly match in the corners, which means a certain amount of tweaking before the neck fits neatly.
My plan is to use the neck pocket template to create the heel section of a new neck template, but use my existing neck template (with flush trim router bit) to create the rest.
My ultimate ambition is to create a neck joint that's good enough to have set neck instead of bolt-on.

@darrenking Do you hold your neck in the desired location (with clamp or masking tape & super glue), attach your template gizmo to the body flush to the neck, then remove the neck leaving template exactly where you want it?

arrrggghhh!!!!!!! Don't let Mark hear you say that! 🤣 🤣 🤣
Please see 'No more Sloppy Neck Joints!' topic for further details of jig and possible method of use.
All comments and criticism gratefully received.
Been playing around with body ideas for the next build.
This one is really a variation on what I've done before but at least I'll know it will work.
This I like a lot more - sort of bastard lovechild of a Tele and Dan electro?

@rockpile99 Yeah, I like that shape too. I take it you will be using neck screw ferrules instead of a plate or a set neck. Should be a good build. Good luck. 👍

that make a lovely thru neck...
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
@Boo Yes, it will be ferules (or maybe set neck if I do a neat enough job of the joint). Haven't used a plate on any guitar I've built yet. One of the joys of building my own has been no more 'palm stab' from blocky neck heels 🙂
