@blake Japanese parts are typically really good. The difference in hole size isn’t much as @frocesterbill pointed out. Just be sure to use a lock washer (already necessary) inside the cavity for good grip to keep that pot in place! … Read more»

Sounds like good fun. It will be interesting if you record the results as you go along with different wire types, capacitance, impedance and sound quality. Like a proper science experiment then we can all crib your hard work ! -
