While the finishing of the bass takes ages due to the weather I decided to get on with the tele build. I’ve roughed out the neck and today was radiusing the board and doing fret markers.

@nortski I think it’s just the way he builds guitars, there’s also a lot of info to try and make into a course so bound to be the odd thing here and there.

Got the comfort carves done today. I had a go with the grinder and sanding disc on the arm carve but gave that up and went back to good old hand tools.

@steveh I place the claw against the back of the spring cavity and move it about until I’m happy it’s centred then go round in the holes with a pencil or that. Remove the claw and centre punch the centre…   Read more»

Today was a little tidy here and there and then onto bridge fitting, pickup routing, control cavity and wire holes. I set the depth stop on my drill press to about 20mm and drilled the corners then routered the rest.
