Today I would have been playing with both my bands "Akoestische Heeren"and "Lemon Curry" at the local Rock Urbanus festival. But a virus got in the way. This was the last gig we did shortly before the lockdown.

About a year ago I played with my band Lemon Curry at a local festival called Rock Urbanus. A week before the event the band that would open the festival canceled and we were asked to play as a replacement for them. Which of course we did. Doors opened at 8 o'clock and we had to play at 5 minutes past 8, so the venue was still half empty. It didn't bother us. And the organisation of the festival were happy with us, they asked us to play there again this year at the 10th edition, at a better time slot. But some virus got in the way...

Well, it's not my music, but it's my video.
One of the nice things of being retired is that you have plenty of time and you don't have to spend it in a sensible way. So here's my farewell to Donald Trump.

A video I recently made of my first band. I found the audio in the caverns of my computer and the pictures in the bottom drawer of my desk. It was recorded in 1985 on a Tascam 244 (4 track with casettes). I played congas in those days and had never touched a bass. The handsome bloke with the curly hair and the beard is me.

Did you post the wrong photos @marcel? I see *no* "handsome bloke with curly hair and beard" ???
😋
The sound quality is pretty amazing for a 4-track cassette recording - nice work!!

Exactly 1 year ago, when it was still possible and we did not know what was coming........
Have you been able to do any practising during the lockdown years?
Though it sounds/looks like quite a tight band, so I guess it'll all come back to you all fairly quickly once you can get back together again ...

We could practice from july to september, then the place where we rehearse was closed, and still is. And yes I think once we can get back together again it will take little time to be rocking again.
