Today I would have been playing with both my bands "Akoestische Heeren"and "Lemon Curry" at the local Rock Urbanus festival. But a virus got in the way. This was the last gig we did shortly before the lockdown.

Same colour as my old 620. I miss that guitar, but one of them had to go and it just had too many knobs and settings for me to get my head around! I mean, you could plug it into two amps at once!!

About a year ago I played with my band Lemon Curry at a local festival called Rock Urbanus. A week before the event the band that would open the festival canceled and we were asked to play as a replacement for them. Which of course we did. Doors opened at 8 o'clock and we had to play at 5 minutes past 8, so the venue was still half empty. It didn't bother us. And the organisation of the festival were happy with us, they asked us to play there again this year at the 10th edition, at a better time slot. But some virus got in the way...

Two guitars, one bass, three gentlemen and some microphones. Recorded live in the attic of one of the gentlemen. Acoustic gentlemen!

Well, it's not my music, but it's my video.

One of the nice things of being retired is that you have plenty of time and you don't have to spend it in a sensible way. So here's my farewell to Donald Trump.

A video I recently made of my first band. I found the audio in the caverns of my computer and the pictures in the bottom drawer of my desk. It was recorded in 1985 on a Tascam 244 (4 track with casettes). I played congas in those days and had never touched a bass. The handsome bloke with the curly hair and the beard is me.

Excellent machine the Tascam 244 - used one a few times back in the 1980s.

I used to have a Tascam Porta One Ministudio, it was awesome. I wonder what happened to it?

I spent a lot of time recording myself to guage progress with that thing. Now I miss it, sniff...

Practice on scrap...

Did you post the wrong photos @marcel?  I see *no* "handsome bloke with curly hair and beard" ???

😋

The sound quality is pretty amazing for a 4-track cassette recording - nice work!!

@Marcel

Have you been able to do any practising during the lockdown years?

Though it sounds/looks like quite a tight band, so I guess it'll all come back to you all fairly quickly once you can get back together again ...

For the older folk:

I'm pretty sure I've seen and heard that very track being broadcast recently.  Are you famous really?
😉

Really enjoy your Bliss appearances!

We could practice from july to september, then the place where we rehearse was closed, and still is. And yes I think once we can get back together again it will take little time to be rocking again.

@ tv1 Now that I've seen you it all becomes a little less virtual.
