Looks great @koendb, congrats!

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the V, those are pretty much my favorite guitars. Did you get your template from G&W?

Practice on scrap...

That’s cool @koendb. They look pretty good and they’re quite reasonably priced, a tad on the thin side though, be careful! Besides you should make copies and not use the master but you probably already knew that, right? 😉

Speaking of V templates, I had some custom ones whizzed up by our own @darrenking back in February and I realize that I neglected to post some pics (sorry @tv101!) so I’ll get on that but maybe I’ll wait until I get my No More Sloppy Neck Joints Routing Jig 3000 first... 🤔

They also have them in thicker MDF but...

The clear ones have the advantage of placing them on the body blank to pick out the best spot regarding the grain pattern so, there’s that.

But you should make a habit of copying all your templates and not use the masters in case you slip and naff the template. In that case you just bang out a new copy (carefully) and proceed.

@koendb I love the reuse of an item, well impressed, proves we don't need preminium swamp ash or alike...Leo would have used worktops if they were cheap enough. Great project, you should be rightly proud of yourself...nice guitar fella.
