Nice work @Boo. It looks like there's more then enough meat on that fretboard no?
I do like the yellow dots!

I’ve accidentally sanded one side of the fretboard too much.

Don't you mean you've carefully crafted an ergonomic radius offset?

Love the dots @boo. I'm sure you'll manage to sort out the radius.

🙂🙏🎶🎸

@boo coming along nicely, shame about the board but I think there’s enough to rectify it. Is it like that the whole length?

Is it like that the whole length?

@tej No, it starts from about the 12th and gets steadily worse going towards the nut.Β

@jonhodgson If only it would work like that, I would leave it.Β

@koendb Yeah I think there is enough on there to rectify the problem. I quite like the yellow dots now they are in, it’s a dramatic contrast.Β

Lathe it Down. 😆😆😆

@mattbeels Terrible joke. 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👍Β

That’s a bummer about the fretboard but it still looks thick enough on the bass side, you should be alright. Good luck!

Yeah it will be fine, it’s just a lot of work to get it right again. It’s a job I could do without but I’ve recognised it and know what to do about it. It should teach me a lesson too, it’s a warning for the future.Β

The body is rough cut from the bandsaw but I couldn’t resist putting the neck in and putting everything in place. Tomorrow I’ll route the body shape to get a cleaner edge and then it’s a lot of sanding and a bit of drilling.Β

Ok, I’ve cleaned up the edge of the body, using the body routing template (pattern) and the router. I’ve also routed approximately 2.5mm deep, a recess for the control cavity cover plate to sit in.Β
