Thanks for the replies guys. Been having trouble getting logged on, hence the delay in replying.
Next passes with the router much shallower, then a pass with the bottom bearing bit – that might have to be a deeper cut. -
Brian Walker replied to the topic "Then a BAD thing happened👎🤨" – 1 year, 9 months ago
@liebe Just a couple of passes with the router left to do, top bearing bit will pass above the damage and the bottom bearing bit will pass below, so all should be well.👍
Tomorrow’s another day, onwards and upwards 👍😃🎸 -

Brian Walker replied to the topic "Wilkinson GTB wrapover – drilling post holes." – 1 year, 10 months ago
@stephen-hayes Just as a matter of interest, I measured the dimensions of the bridge posts I have:
Ribbed part 12.25 diameter
Non ribbed part 11.5mm
Post that the bridge sits on 7.6mm.
I imagine these are made to fairly fine tolerances.👍😃 -
Brian Walker replied to the topic "Wilkinson GTB wrapover – drilling post holes." – 1 year, 10 months ago
@stephen-hayes Shouldn’t make any difference, the bridge sits on a post, which is 8mm I believe, and has the same centre as the post and post hole. So, as long as the holes are marked correctly it will be OK…. Read more»
