RE: Does this look straight to you?

Sounds sane to me, I know not all wood is equal but would practising on say the off cuts of the mahogany neck be worth using? I don't have any spare rosewood lying around.

RE: Does this look straight to you?

Funnily enough I was watching an older video of Marks where he suggested debonder after someone glued her finger to her guitar. So yes, I definitely got some in before I started inlays.

RE: Does this look straight to you?

@boo I've got a dremel router base but no template, I do have some carving tools. I'm close to bottling it tbh but I would like to at least attempt something. I know Mark says keep it simple but alway...

RE: Does this look straight to you?

RE: My Bailey Bandsman using online course

This is amazing to see, I kind of wish I'd posted all my bits n bobs in one thread rather than 'look guys, I did a thing' everytime I make some kind of sawdust.

Or are you saying I should now promote the template to MASTER and make a new template? Probably I guess but will I make that many more this shape? Not sure, I want to go for an MX250 style or even a s...

RE: Pattern stock to pattern

Cheers @mattbeels yeah so for the master I used straight edges and cut close to the lines with the bandsaw then sanded the curves. Then I used that to make a copy but used a straight edge instead of t...

RE: Pattern stock to pattern

@tej like Mat says and Mark suggests, make a master then a copy from that so if and when you hack into it you have a backup master. @mattbeels you know me and my bandsaw / router skills, it's a 'kind...

RE: Flattening Jig

I wish I'd had one of these this weekend. 50mm seems on the money, the blank I had was 48mm at it's fattest end. I'd stick with a round 50 and then maybe you could look at an extra large version if th...
