Im in Scotland and it’s still in the lower 60s though the day, close to freezing some nights. Holiday sounds good I’ve been to America a few times in hot weather -

@rathius If it is long enough for a parallel neck headstock(Fender Style) for sure it is more than thick enough. For scarf joint at 12 degree headstock angle you will just make the cut.

I’ve experienced you’re kind of weather when I went to Ocean City Maryland and South Carolina, people dash from the AC in the house to the AC in tha car. -

Scottish country side is cold wet and miserable and that’s in the summer
It’s not that bad. Stop it!Our Scottish weather really isn’t that bad, we had a great summer last year, I think it was Tuesday in August.
