@rathius If it is long enough for a parallel neck headstock(Fender Style) for sure it is more than thick enough. For scarf joint at 12 degree headstock angle you will just make the cut.

Our Scottish weather really isn’t that bad, we had a great summer last year, I think it was Tuesday in August.
