Hey @hursty – just to reassure you 12mm truss rod slot depth is OK…just be extra careful not to carve too thin or you will compound the error and that WILL likely be trouble!

The dent will raise as the water dries – sometimes it takes a few goes…
I’m sure whatever is left will easily sand out or come out when you round over the end. -
