@liebe make yourself a cheap router sled, I recently did that with a piece of contiboard and a couple of rails. Great for getting things straight. Then I’ll stick it through my thickness planer to get the other side done,… Read more»

@liebe Hi Dan, I’ve got the Rutlands planner/thicknesser. With the blades reasonably new it planes a very smooth surface. As long as you double check the fence and make sure it’s tight it planes a near perfect 90 degrees when… Read more»

@liebe Thanks Dan. It looks like black superglue is thick. 03a describe theirs as medium thick. I’ve just ordered a 20g bottle from http://www.smallwonder-music.co.uk/shop/Tools-and-Finishing/Superglue/p-123-494/ because £6.95. Small Wonder says, “Black Superglue tends to be thick in consistency so I usually… Read more»

swepri replied to the topic "Neck angle for bolt-on – can't decide" – 2 years, 3 months ago
@liebe Thanks. I agree, a recessed bridge does look a bit odd. In this case I have to make a hole for the entire bridge through the pickguard anyway, to avoid the extra height of 3mm. 🙂
